CORPORATE

OZCAN MINERAL was founded as Ozcan Mineral Industrial Raw Materials Mining Construction Industry & Trade Limited Company® by Mining Engineer Celal OZCAN, in Balikesir in 2011. Bentonite was produced by our business in Balikesir, Bigadic Turfullar Village in 2012. In 2014, our Sepiolite business started its activities in Eskisehir, Sivrihisar Kurtseyh Fettahoglu Upland. Activities in this business consist of the productions from white Sepiolite for cat litter, feed additive, dehumidifier and soil conditioner, and from brown and black Sepiolite for industrial needs.

OUR PRODUCTS

WHITE SEPIOLITE

The sepiolite content of the dolomitic sepiolite at the cat litter, feed additive, dehumidifier and soil conditioner quality is 50-60%, and they have a size of 1-5 mm. Accumulation density: 0.70 g/cc, absorption: above 80%. Thanks to its high absorbency characteristic, it absorbs the liquid in seconds and hence does not allow for the emergence of odor in the environment where it is located and does not allow for the presence of microbes and bacteria.

BROWN AND BLACK SEPIOLITE

High-tech brown and black sepiolite are available in colours varying from light brown to black. The sepiolite content is above 90%. Sedimentary sepiolite, which is also called industrial sepiolite or layered sepiolite, is used for deodorizing, pesticide carriers, mineral oil and vegetable oil refining, wastewater treatment systems, production of carbonless copy papers and cigarette filters thanks to its absorbency characteristic. Thanks to its catalytic characteristic, it is used in the production of catalytic ceramic filters for automobile exhausts and factory chimneys, hydrocarbon production from methanol, hydrogenation of liquid fuels and in different fields. Thanks to its rheological characteristic, it is used as a mud material in paint and asphalt coatings, grease and cosmetic products and deep drilling, as a catalyst carrier pellet and tablet in pharmacy, in brick and ceramic products (especially honeycomb ceramics with high-tech applications) and in the detergent industry.
